Early Life & Education
Dr. L. V. Gangadhara Sastry was born in 1967 in Avanigadda, a village in Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh, to Sri Lakkavajjala Kasi Viswanatha Sarma and Smt. Srilakshmi, as their eldest child.
He earned his Bachelor's degree in Arts from Nagarjuna University and later completed a certified course in Carnatic classical music at Sri Thyagaraja Government College of Music & Dance.
He has dedicated his entire life to propagating the essence of Bhagavadgita—the spiritual essence of Bharat—across the world, with the aim of promoting global peace and fostering an evolved society.
The World's First Complete Musical Bhagavadgita
With decades of tireless research, dedication, and a relentless pursuit of perfection, Dr. L. V. Gangadhara Sastry achieved a historic milestone in Indian music. As the first vocalist to undertake such an endeavor, he composed, rendered, recorded, and released the complete musical Bhagavadgita—all 700 verses in Sanskrit, accompanied by their meanings in Telugu and English—using advanced sound technology.
The uniqueness of this musical rendering lies in its immersive quality, which transports the listener to the battlefield of Kurukshetra, into the divine presence of Lord Sri Krishna and Arjuna.
This monumental effort has been widely appreciated by distinguished personalities, including Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi; former Presidents of Bharat, the late Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam and Sri Ram Nath Kovind; as well as revered spiritual leaders such as H.H. Bharathi Tirtha Swamiji of Sringeri Sharada Peetham, H.H. Vijayendra Saraswathi of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham, and H.H. Vishwesha Teertha Swamiji of Udupi Peja Matha, among others.
