Śreyān svadharmo viguṇaḥ paradharmāt svanuṣṭhitāt Svadharme nidhanaṁ śreyaḥ paradharmo bhayāvahaḥ (3.35)
"Dear Hindus, as part of practicing our Sanatana Dharma, we are increasingly witnessing situations where it must be protected. Open your eyes and look at society just once… In Kashmir, Hindus were killed after being asked whether they were Hindus… In Bhainsa, Telangana, Hindus were killed… In the Telangana Assembly, when Vande Mataram was being sung, some Muslim leaders walked out… In Telangana, a Muslim running a petrol bunk is telling vehicle owners that no one is allowed to say ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ there… In Andhra Pradesh, religious conversions are happening on a large scale. Recently, a pastor was loudly claiming that the Godavari districts, Guntur district, and several other districts belong to them. In Akiveedu, Christians prevented Deputy Speaker Sri Raghurama Krishna Raju garu from offering a garland to the idol of Lord Rama in a temple. What exactly is happening in India…? Even though this is a Hindu nation that respects all equally in the name of secularism, why is so much hatred arising from foreign religions? When will Hindus gain the wisdom to both love everyone and strongly protect their own existence? I have not come to incite religious hatred. I have come to awaken Sanatana Dharma within you. I have come to remind you of the essence of the message of duty that Lord Krishna gave to Arjuna. I have come to urge you to understand and practice the inner meaning of Bhagavadgita—taught in a time before any religion existed—and thereby protect Sanatana Dharma. I appeal that both people and governments must come forward to safeguard their Swadharma and strongly resist attacks on Dharma. Parents, spend your valuable time every day with your children. Share with them your experiences, the greatness of this nation, the histories of patriots, the glory of Sanatana Dharma, and the magnificence of the Ramayana and Mahabharata," said Gita singer, preacher, and propagator, Founder Chairman of Bhagavadgita Foundation Dr. L.V. Gangadhara Sastry.
On the occasion of the Kotha Amavasya Jatara Mahotsavams of Sri Nookambika Ammavari Temple in Anakapalle (29.03.2025), he delivered an inspiring Gita Gaana Pravachanam. He led hundreds of people in Gita Parayanam. Dr. Gangadhara Sastry appreciated local MLA Sri Konathala Ramakrishna garu, who played a key role in getting this festival recognized and conducted by the government as a state festival, and suggested that efforts should be made to include the Bhagavadgita as a subject from the 5th standard onward to instill moral values in children. As he rendered the Vishwaroopa of Sri Krishna in his voice, the audience at the NTR Grounds rose to their feet with deep emotion and applauded. Many also danced to his Krishna bhajan.
Dr. Gangadhara Sastry expressed his gratitude to the coalition government, to MLA Sri Konathala Ramakrishna garu, and to Sri Kandregula Sriram, head of SD Groups, for inviting him. He was honored with a gaja mala and silk garments. Subsequently, with traditional temple honors, the temple authorities arranged for special pooja to be performed to the Goddess by Dr. Gangadhara Sastry. Notably, a Muslim brother, Sri Mohammed Aliraja, bowed to Dr. Gangadhara Sastry and, expressing his desire that the Bhagavadgita be declared a national scripture, submitted a formal request on behalf of his organization, the Bharatiya Samskrutika Parirakshana Abhivrudhi Samstha.
